Experimenting with Lychguard

So I've been working on my Lychguard for a while, then went on a trip, but I am back now and hope to paint more regularly.

While the Lychguard itself are straightforward to paint, I'm having trouble deciding on how to paint the weapons and the shields. So I tried I bunch of stuff and thought I'd share. Still thinking about it.

And here are the shields and weapons. I painted just the front of each shield, and painted each side of a weapon differently to try things out. I think I like blue shields most, they look the heaviest and sturdiest, and think bright orange weapons go best with it. Still thinking about it.

Second Ghost/Doomsday Ark Done!

Not much to say here. There are bits that need repairing - I really raised the standard of my painting since painting the first one. I fixed a bunch of things on the old one after painting the new one, but there are still places for improvement that I noticed only after taking the pics.

Same conversion and magnetization as before, except I did it a bit better this time... and much, much faster.

Tomb Blades 1.1

I forgot to add shoulder pipes to my blades! I was so eager to get done with them that I forgot this step entirely.

Here are a few WIP and finished pics. I don't think I'll repeat the photo session because of this change.

Finally! Really glad about how these turned out. I'll need to do a touch-up here and there, I noticed some errors on the pics, but they look good regardless.

I've been really excited about how these are turning out, so here's a few work in progress pics. The black parts are much more highlighted than before. I experimented with this while painting my tesla Immortals and I'll need to go back and highlight all the stuff I've painted before. Eventually.

Tesla Immortals Done!

Not much to say here. I took my time with these, tried to make them look their best. I also increased the amount of highlighting on the black parts, simply to make them stand out more. There is no OSR on these models really, so there needed to be something to make shapes discernible. I like it. I should eventually go back and add highlights to my other Immortals and Warriors.
